Overview

JOB SUMMARY

CSU Global is seeking a Manager of Student Account Services who will be responsible for the oversight of the quality, integrity and efficiency of all Student Account functions, including but not limited to: technology and process-based Student accounts receivables, accuracy of account statuses,  managing external systems, third party billing and proper collections of account balances. This position is responsible for managing the student payment systems and processing, and student account collections processes. Additionally, this position will conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with Institutional policies.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • People Leadership - lead, manage, and hold people accountable
    • Conducts quality reviews and audits to ensure team members are achieving service excellence standards.
    • Provides training on processes and procedures to ensure consistent student experiences.
    • Perform personnel functions such as selection, work assignments, retention, training, evaluation, goal setting, performance management, corrective action, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Oversight of Student Accounts Processes, including but not limited to:
    • Tuition and fee posting and processes
    • Accounts Receivable processing
    • Collections processing including ledger transactions, coordination with third-party vendors, processing of payments, return of accounts, dispute documentation, maintenance of the collections communications calendar and notifications to students
    • Non-Title IV Refund Process
    • Bankruptcy processing
    • Reconciliation of tuition, fees and special partnership account agreements
    • Student discount application 
    • Employee Tuition Assistance Benefit processing
    • Financial Aid book voucher processing and reconciliation
    • Oversight of Third Party Billing Processes and document review for Amazon, CSU Reciprocal, Direct Bill, DVR & Third Party invoicing including but not limited to:
      •  Set up and delivery of billing invoices for students, third-party payers, and special partnership arrangements
      • Outstanding third party payment follow up
      • Management of special partnership arrangement requirements
  • Monthly Title IV reconciliation and drawdown requests
  • Outside course fee vendor processing and reconciliation 
  • Department Reporting 
    • Ensure key operational metrics are collected and properly communicated with team members and department leadership
  • Audit department processes to ensure compliance with institutional policies
  • Manage all internal and external systems related to Student Accounts and Third Party Billing processes, including acting as first line technical support
  • Resolve student complaints or answer student questions regarding policies and procedures.
  • Participate in cross-departmental improvement initiatives to support department and University goals
  • With leadership from the Senior Director, Student Financial Services, help lead initiatives to help integrate technology tools for department efficiency and accuracy, and team-member workload balancing.
  • Provide department scorecard updates and weekly scorecard completion to help facilitate team member success with their responsibilities and department tenure
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required. 
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience demonstrating expertise with student accounts processes, specifically managing student payments, ledgers, accounts receivable, past due and collections. 
  • Three (3) years of experience directly supervising a team of 5 or greater. 
  • Experience with Title IV reconciliations
  • Experience managing remote workers is preferred. 
  • Experience with Anthology Student or Campus Nexus preferred
  • Experience with CashNet preferred

● The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

 

TOTAL COMPENSATION

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 annually
